Ashton went about to put the upset of last week behind them and got back to playing some good football. On what was a heavy pitch and the teams being evenly matched for the first 15mins saw Matty open the Ashton account and get the score board going. Ashton then settled and started to show what they are capable of and passed the ball from flank to flank to get behind the spirited tyldesly defence. Goals came from Faisal and again Matty and Jamie who put in a man of the match performance and covered every blade of mud. Lewis got in on the act to keep his score tally going and Callum got in from a shot out wide that took a deflection on its way to the net to send the keeper the wrong way. A battling Joe in the centre with Regan resulted in them pushing forward to claim one each. Jamie got his second from a monsterous, thunderous right foot drive to nearly break the back of the net. It was only fitting for the two midfield generals should finish the day by getting one more each.
